Aeolus introduces new HN364 winter tyre in Europe

From August 2009 Aeolus will in continental Europe start supplying the new HN364 winter tyre in the three most current sizes for driving axles. As the first Chinese tyre producer Aeolus is prepared for the winter season of 2009/2010. It offers its clients the opportunity to choose the highest degree of road safety, even in winter. The winter tyre is developed based on the latest trends and developments. Prototypes have been extensively tested with success last winter.
Maximum attention for road safety is in the opinion of Aeolus Tyres part of a responsible structure of the supply programme. This means that for the summer the regular range of truck and trailer tyres offer extra stability due to a broader running surface, and that for the winter the new winter tyres are added. When the trucks are equipped with winter tyres the transporters are assured that their vehicles will reach their destination under their own steam even in wintry conditions.
Optimum certainty with high mileages
“With the launch of the new winter tyre Aeolus Tyres is prepared for the winter season of 2009/2010”, according to Bertus Heuver of Aeolus Tyres Europe, exclusive importer for Aeolus in continental Europe. “In the development of the winter tyre the latest developments in the field of running surface width and rubber compound are included, just like they have been for our regular tyres since last June. The new HN364 tyres furthermore meet all the specific requirements with regard to winter marking. Aeolus is also very aware that a transporter wishes to contribute to road safety on the one hand, but that on the other hand it cannot be done at the expense of his return. He would like to increase the operational reliability by using winter tyres without at the same time incurring a loss as a result of a possible shorter replacement cycle due to a softer rubber compound. This package of preconditions has been included in the development. With the winter tyre we have achieved a range enabling us to meet the most frequently occurring demands. Even for wintry traffic Aeolus is now the alternative for well-known A-brands.”
The Aeolus winter tyres – in the sizes 295/80R22.5, 315/70R22.5 and 315/80R22.5 – are able to offer an optimum grip in snow due to laminate technology, a specific rubber compound and an ultra-wide and ultra-deep tread, and are also safe in the rain and melting snow due to the broader running surface. The new winter tyre meets the new statutory S-marking (noise standard obligatory from 1 October 2009).
